Did you know? I Can’t start the day without coffee!!!
I graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors from the University of Connecticut in 1995. My interest to pursue a career in Physical Therapy was in large part due to my heavy involvement in sports from an early age. I was a competitive swimmer and runner for many years and also enjoyed skiing, golf, tennis, baseball, and biking while growing up. Since graduating from Physical Therapy school, I have practiced primarily in the outpatient orthopaedic setting but also have experience with inpatient orthopaedics, trauma, and intensive rehabilitation. Although I have extensive experience treating all types of orthopaedic and neurological conditions, special areas of interest include post-surgical rehabilitation, knee and shoulder rehab, Pilates, and biomechanics of gait including fabrication of custom foot orthotics. For several years of my career, I worked very closely with orthopaedic surgeons and other sports medicine physicians and have attended numerous orthopaedic seminars while employed by a large hospital network. As a Physical Therapist, I derive great pleasure seeing my clients achieve the highest level of function possible. I am also a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine. Currently, I maintain a very active lifestyle working out with weights and cardio machines on a regular basis. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, three children, and our black lab.
